RE RYAN ADAMS GRANADA

Sorry, you must have left early. "Come pick me up" was his last song, and it was awesome. Great acoustic concert and the sound was better than his recordings. The only "issue" was a poorly tuned piano, which he turned into a hilarious impromptu song(s) throughout the night.

SO HAPPY

I have seen Ryan Adams live twice,, once at the Acadamy of Music with the Cardinals in Philly and the other at the Parx Casino in Bensalem this past weekend. Thirteen years had passed and a lot of personal consumption of the music had since entered my mind. I was thoroughly amazed at the talent that was in front of me on stage and was proud for my close friends to hear and see this with me. He is so under rated and also obviously haunted by his internal demons. His honesty when addressing the audience made me think…aren’t we all haunted!. I would like to address what was earlier said about an unruly audience. I think part of the beauty and allure of Ryan Adams is that he thrives on humanity and more importantly the security of those that delve in it with him in a venue during the show. When his second song started with him thunderously banging on the piano with his ass theatrically mimicking the sound, it is inevitable that he would receive a few lightening strikes from the audience . He came out in to the audience in search of Tim and found the audience around him were all ears and love. Andrea!!! The venue…it’s intimacy and sound far out did the Acadamy. I am so curious as to his future and fortune. I hope he can hold on to it for his sister. Go Eagles!!!

RYAN ADAMS HAS MADE HIS COMEBACK

Ryan's solo shows are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. The Cardinals shows are like seeing your fave band jamming. Ryan and all the guys seemed so happy and having the time of their lives , a true site to witness. I would 100% go to either again and again. Im so thrilled Ryan is back to making music and touring . He was missed !

RYAN ADAMS GRANADA

Amazing performance. He is such a talented singer songwriter and guitar player. The show was plagued by bad sound though. And he did not play "come pick me up" for his encore. Perhaps due to an unruly crowd.

RYAN ADAMS NEEDS TO SUCK IT UP

We saw Ryan Adams on his solo tour last October in Milwaukee and again last night with the Cardinals. Both nights he stopped the show to bitch at a person in the audience. Last night it got really ugly as he completely bullied this person. He made his point, but then wouldn't let it go. It went on far too long. He lost most of the audience after this. Then he had to start the same song over 3 times. He complained that his guitars weren't in tune and the cord broke. Boo Hoo. The "Jam Sessions" weren't really "Jams" as they added nothing to the songs. He finished the set list and everybody pretty much just left. Nobody was really looking for an encore. Our group left disappointed and confused. It's too bad, because I really like his stuff. Not sure if I will shell out the money in the future.

TOO MUCH FOG MACHINE!!!

Let me start by saying I LOVE Ryan Adams. He is very talented and I love his music. But my wife had to leave half way through, because she couldn't breathe. Way too much fog machine. People were getting up and leaving left and right. Each song was like 15 mins long. Was disappointed in last night's show. I left as well before the show ended.

DISAPPOINTED

Seemed like nothing more than a jam session the first 90 minutes. And each jam was 15 long. Then left when he went into his “grinch”-like narrative. Also, Ryan never faced the audience. Certainly I know that there has been some troubling times for Ryan. But the concert was a weird one and not the Ryan Adams I really enjoy and had looked forward to seeing live for the first time. Likely won’t go see him again

PONDEROUS

Self indulgent, guitar wankerey. His voice sounded great and the band was obviously talented, but they seemed to playing to each other more than the audience. "Look how great we are." A ponderous bore, honestly...

WHAT IN THE WHAT JUST HAPPENED IN WATERBURY CT

Ryan is super talented as is his band… but it was so confusing… he spoke in a “Yoda Star Wars voice?” Super weird, crowd was odd(lots of wasted people) Long 15 minute songs like a Pink Floyd dead show? He ranted at people who were yelling out then when on a tirade how he loves Bryan Adams… walked off before finale.., band mates were like “wtf?” His show solo at Carnegie hall was awesome! We left confused and like we were kicked out last night?

SELF-INDULGENT

Ryan Adams in Atlanta at the Roxy on 8/13/23 disappointed. I’ve seen plenty of mercurial musicians in my time (Van Morrison, Prince, REM, The Replacements, etc.), but Ryan seemed to deliberately ignore his audience (covered by the fog machine and low lighting) played 5 or so covers, stretched songs into 20 minute jams, and what banter there was consisted of weird inside-joke shit. Don’t get me wrong, Ryan has many great songs, we just didn’t get to hear many (if any) of them. Very good band, just not playing to the audience. Playing what they wanted (or what Ryan wanted), and not realizing they weren’t in their garage. This was two and a half hours of public masturbation. So disappointing

BORING

We were seated to the left of the stage. Ryan played the entire show from the left facing the right so we only saw his backside.

RAYAN ADAMS WATERBURY CT PALACE THEATRE

Overall disappointing show. Way, way way too much jamming which of course led to way, way way not enough actual songs. We were looking forward to this show for a long time and were completely let down. Ryan Adams is good guitar player and his band was good but I wasn't expecting a Phish/Grateful Dead/Rusted Root type experience. D+

TERRIBLE WORST CONCERT EVER!!!

Saw him in Mobile on Friday night. It was all very loud jamming stuff, kinda like he didn’t want to sing. He never faced the audience and didn’t play any of his acoustic hits. Was a total waste of money.

A FAN NO LONGER

The stage was dark with some intermittent flashes of lighting so you couldn’t really see the band perform and it was mostly some kind of self indulgent jam session rather than a concert. He is sure impressed Don Was is in the band tho. You could make out Ryan played with his back to the audience. Later in the show someone in the audience called out for some Bryan Adam’s song as a joke (see ancient Ryan meltdown on YouTube) and Ryan chose to just harp on that for an extremely long period of time, talking in the dark instead of playing then he just ended the show early - brat
